TriStateTreasures, a 30 minute TV show in development, is seeking a host.
Candidates, male or female, must be between the ages of 35 and 60, and have
a youthful look. You must have a "smiley" personality and a voice that
expresses enthusiasm, wonder and amazement. No on-camera experience is
necessary; just the right look, voice and personality. We will be shooting
six pilots between Aug 15 and Sept 20, and you must be available that entire
period. This job will probably make you locally famous but probably not

If you would like to make a demo for us, just take a friend or two and a
camcorder to Central Park or somewhere and interview somebody who knows
something about their surroundings. It can be the park, a restaurant,
museum, street vendor - anybody you think might have something interesting
to say. Just ask some initial questions and pick up on the answers and keep
it going for a few minutes. Use a handheld mike, or no mike if it's just a
simple camcorder. Keep the camera on yourself, varying the angles. The
actual shows will be scripted in that your initial questions will be
prepared for you and you take the interviews in whatever direction these
questions take you.

        

Psoriasis Cure Now, a Wash, DC-based nonprofit patient group, is giving away
$14,000 more in our 2008 Video Contest, for the best 15 OR 30 second videos
about psoriasis. We have a Serious track and a Humor track. Read the
Official Rules carefully for each.

Two $5,000 Grand Prizes are among the cash prizes being awarded. Deadline
for all entries is August 2, 2008.

Note: entrants must transfer all rights in their videos to our nonprofit.

We have received roughly 30 entries as of July 10th, and gave away $2,000 in

Actors needed to appear in a 30sec ad for an international
internet start up company.

Must be very charismatic, well spoken, and own business attire. Will play
the role of a TV anchor team. Limited dialogue

Savage Roses Productions, an established production company casting for
Indie feature "FLICK'S CHICKS". This is a romantic comedy about a young
mother who after a lifetime of disappointment and frustration with men,
decides she wants to marry a woman. Auditions will be in early August, film
scheduled to shoot in mid October. Deferred pay unless noted but this is a
fast shoot for a feature. Food and a finished copy of the film will be
provided. (And not like other films that say they will give you a copy and
years later you're still trying to get it, we always get our actors a copy,
usually within six months.) We are looking for extremely dedicated and
talented people. The length of your resume is NOT that important to us, we
just need actresses that are perfect for the role! Our previous films have
won awards at numerous festivals and received major distribution.
FLICK: Caucasian Female, 25-30. Flick is an adorable, young mother who has
given up on men and decides to pursue a woman for marriage. Actress must
have FANTASTIC comic timing! The kind of woman that is extremely likable, no
matter how flawed she is. Actress must be comfortable kissing another woman.
LEAD ROLE
ROXY: Female 9-11 years old to play 10. She is an extremely well spoken
child that speaks with a wisdom beyond her years and the maturity of a grown
up. She is an adorable and at times smart mouthed kid. CO-STAR. Role pays
$125 per day. (Please note, this character is NOT involved or around any
inappropriate scenes for a child.)
ALEX: Female, all ethnicities, 22-30. Alex is androgynous if a bit on the
"butch" side. She is soft spoken with a big heart and a subtle charm.
Ideally, actress has a short/boyish hair cut. Actress must be comfortable
kissing another woman CO-STAR
MARISSA: Caucasian/Hispanic: Female, 22-30, She is a tough Brooklyn/Bronx
girl, funny and aggressive. Actress must be comfortable kissing another
woman CO-STAR
MONIQUE: African American, Female, 22-30. She is a spoken word artist and a
free spirit. She is strong, intelligent and has a strong sexual confidence.
Actress must be comfortable kissing another woman. CO-STAR
TOVAH: Caucasian, Female, 22-30. She is an Ex- Israeli soldier. A strong and
confident woman. But has a softer side that is yearning to come out. Actress
must be comfortable kissing another woman and be comfortable with a
non-sexual brief topless scene. CO-STAR (Topless scene pays $200 for the
scene)
SNOWPHISH: 22-30, female, open to all ethnicities. A very liberal,
peace-loving vegan hippie. She has very strong beliefs about war, fur and
acceptance. Actress must be comfortable kissing another woman. CO-STAR
NUDE MODEL: Female, 21-40. We need an actress to play a nude model in an art
class. No Lines. Pays $250 for the scene.
